In the department of agriculture of the Akkol region, a seminar-meeting with agricultural producers on the introduction of precision farming was held with the participation of scientific workers of the A. I. Barayev SPCGF. Scientists presented information on the digitalization of crop production, information and technical support of precision farming, agricultural management tools and geographic information systems (GIS), differentiated fertilization and plant protection products. Other problematic issues were also discussed: selection of high-yielding varieties of grain crops, seeding rates, production of organic products, advanced training of machine operators. During the exchange of views, representatives of agribusiness confirmed their interest in the practical use of modern agricultural technologies, including elements of precision farming.
