The Grain Farming Center named after A.I. Barayev was visited by the Ambassador of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan Monica Iverson. During the working visit, Chairman of the Management Board Nurlan Serekpayev acquainted the distinguished guest with the activities of the Center. Then the parties moved on to discuss the program of further scientific cooperation, which, despite the prolonged period of the pandemic, was not suspended. Many scientific events were held online and today the pace of collaboration is increasing in the planned direction. The Head of the Embassy expressed great satisfaction with the productive cooperation of German scientists with scientists of our Center in the field of environment and climate change. Also during the meeting, Monica Iverson visited the museum of the Center, where she got very interested in its rare exhibits.
The informative part of the conversation was continued at the experimental site, where she listened with due attention to the scientists’ information about the practical component of the field mobile laboratory installation for measuring wind erosion of soils and asked about the effectiveness of its use in our field conditions.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed interest in further fruitful cooperation of both sides on the outlined issues.
