At a briefing by the Central Communications Service, the Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov said that the Ministry of Agriculture has revised approaches to the provision of services for the dissemination of knowledge for agribusiness entities. For these purposes, the structure of subsidiaries of the “National agrarian science and educational center” JSC has been transformed, which now fully meets the requirements of international standards and focus on business needs.
According to the minister, on the basis of scientific research institutes, experimental stations, experimental production farms of the republic, 22 centers for the dissemination of knowledge have been created, and permanent consulting centers have also been organized.
In addition, work is underway to ensure the sufficiency of funding for agricultural science. The Supreme Scientific and Technical Commission under the Government has already approved the total volume of targeted program funding for the next three years in the amount of 50.4 billion tenge. This is 2.3 times more than in the previous three-year period. It is planned to use this money to develop 36 scientific and technical programs in 10 priority areas of research (crop production, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, processing of agricultural raw materials, etc.).
- To ensure the demand for domestic scientific research by business and to solve the problem of a shortage of professional personnel, all the necessary regulatory and legal framework has been created. The status of research universities was assigned to two large agricultural universities - the Kazakh National Agrarian University and the Kazakh Agro-Technical University named after S. Seifullin. Work in this direction will continue, - said Omarov.
Along with this, according to him, from next year it is planned to introduce subsidies for the costs of agro-industrial complex entities for the introduction of scientific developments. This will provide additional economic incentives for the introduction of modern technologies and innovations, as well as ensure the integration of business and science.
