S. Seifullin KATU students undergo practical training at the A.I. Barayev SPCGF

S. Seifullin KATU studentshave been undergoing practical training for a month nowat the A.I. Barayev SPCGF.
Under the guidance of the scientists of the SPCGF, students participate in the ongoing scientific research of specialized laboratories.
3rd year students of KATU Bolat Bakdaulet, Baibek Nurdaulet, Alenov Meirzhan and Tolegenov Darkhan during the period of practical training in the laboratory of agrochemistry note that the practice helped to increase their knowledge through participation in practical research on the production fields of the Center. In particular, the students participated in the sowing campaign of crops, and also learned to determine the presence of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium in the soil, and now they also know how to determine the level of moisture in the soil.
“We, students of S. Seifullin KATU, are doing practical training in the laboratory of adaptation and agrolandscape technology under the guidance of Kanat Ashkeyevich. Kanat Ashkeyevich is a well-known scientist with international experience, during the period of practice he shared his professional knowledge with us as well as his life experience, which will help us to realize ourselves as scientists in the future”, said Muratuly Orazkhan.
“During our internship in the analytical department of the Center, we learned how to determine the level of nitrogen, potassium and other elements in the soil. Scientists of the A.I.Barayev SPCGF explain the theory in a very interesting and lucid way and attract us to practical research. So in the course of practice, scientists and I went to production fields and took soil for analysis in the laboratory. In general, we have acquired a lot of new knowledge and are grateful to the scientists for this,”said Aidana Bukenova, a student of KATU.
Let us remind, that on May 5 of this year third-year students studying at the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University in the specialties "Soil Science and Agrochemistry", "Protection and Quarantine of Plants", "Agriculture and Plant Growing", went to the industrial practice in the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A. Barayev to the village of Nauchny, Shortandy district, Akmola region.
At the SPCGF, students were instructed on technical safety when working in specialized analytical laboratories and in the field. They are provided with three meals a day and live in comfortable conditions in a hotel with a sports ground where they can go in for sports in their free time. The university provided a bus to move them to the place of practice in the field.
Future research workers in the agricultural sector are glad that they have been given the opportunity to undergo industrial practice in one of the largest research centers in the country.
