A delegation from the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the People’s Republic of China visited the Scientific and Production Centre of Grain Farming named after A. I. Barayev.
On 16 October 2025, a delegation from the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (PRC), led by Mr. Zhang Yu Qiang, Director of the Institute of Cereal Crops, visited the Scientific and Production Centre of Grain Farming named after A. I. Barayev.
During the meeting, Timur Savin, Chairman of the Board of “SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP, familiarized the delegation with the main areas of the Centre’s activities, including crop breeding and the development of technologies for the cultivation and protection of cereals, legumes, oilseeds and forage crops.
The parties paid special attention to issues related to the development of new scientific directions in grain production, discussion of the perspectives for breeding new varieties of agricultural crops, as well as the commercialization of scientific developments and the introduction of innovative solutions in agricultural production.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the activities of the Analytical Centre’s laboratories and visited the historical museum, where guests learned about the history of the Centre's foundation and development.
Representatives of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences noted the high level of scientific research conducted at the Centre and the practical focus of its activities. The parties expressed mutual interest in establishing long-term joint cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to consider the possibility of signing a memorandum of cooperation in scientific research and innovation activities.
