International cooperation: a visit by a delegation from “Yanglin” to the SPC of Grain Farming named after A.I. Baraev

On April 7, 2026, the A.I. Baraev Research and Production Center for Grain Farming hosted a delegation from the “Yangling” International Cooperation Company for Modern Agriculture. The delegation included Li Yi, General Director of Yangling Guohe, specializing in the transfer and commercialization of advanced agricultural technologies, and Ma Yongqing, Professor at Northwest A&F University and an expert at the SCO Agricultural Bases Trade and Economic Investment Promotion Center.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening international partnerships and fostering the exchange of expertise in agricultural science and innovative technologies. The delegation arrived in the Nauchny settlement from Astana and began their program with a meeting with the Center’s management. Chairman of the Board B.B. Kalibayev welcomed the guests and spoke about the Center’s key areas of activity, its scientific achievements, and its role in the development of Kazakhstan’s grain industry.
The guests showed particular interest in visiting the Center’s historical museum, where they explored the rich legacy of the scientific school founded by Academician A.I. Baraev, as well as the stages of grain production development in the region.During the visit, the delegation representatives also acquainted with the Center’s modern breeding achievements. Promising crop varieties were presented, along with research results and the implementation of innovative solutions in the agro-industrial sector.
A key part of the program was the discussion of future areas of cooperation. The parties explored opportunities for collaboration in wheat breeding, the adoption of innovative developments, technology transfer, and the commercialization of research results.
The meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, confirming the mutual interest in developing a long-term partnership.Following the visit, the parties expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation and implement joint projects aimed at improving agricultural efficiency and advancing agricultural science.
