In selection nurseries, sheaf material of promising spring soft wheat samples is selected and plant height is measured.

The height of wheat in a collection nursery ranges from 35 to 55 cm, in breeding nurseries from 50 to 90 cm. Under laboratory conditions, a structural analysis of the main elements of productivity will be carried out: spike length, number of grains per ear, weight of grain per ear, weight of 1000 grains, etc.
