The office of the Kazakh-German Agrarian-Political Dialogue (APD), in continuation of a series of webinars on innovation policy and the experience of Germany in financing innovative projects in the agro-industrial complex, held a webinar on the topic "Supporting the development of innovations in agriculture on the example of the activities of the German Rentenbank."
On behalf of NASEC JSC in the webinar participated Department of International Cooperation and Investment Attraction, Department of Knowledge Dissemination, LLP “A. I. Barayev SPCGF" and LLP" SWRILP ".
The lecturer at the event was Max Brandes, Renttenbank's Market and Business Cycle Analyst. Over the years, he worked and trained in KWS Saat SE, Claas, GIZ, in companies of New Zealand, USA.
As part of the presentation, Max Brandes spoke about the bank's activities, bank services, tools to support innovation, criteria for determining innovation and financing innovation projects.
According to the lecturer, the Bank supports the development of startups at an early stage of its development. “We offer technology-oriented startups an excellent platform to expand their entrepreneurial know-how in a short time frame,” said Max Brandes.
“Rentenbank attracts funds in the capital markets. Local banks in Germany provide loans to the final borrower. Rentenbank finances these loans. The presence of a secured claim to the local bank means that Rentenbank does not bear any risks to the ultimate borrower. Local banks assess and bear the credit risk to obtain adequate margins, but do not bear any liquidity risk, ”Max Brandes said during his speech.
Following the meeting, the participants expressed their interest in preparing applications for financing projects in the field of Rentenbank's agriculture.
