Dear colleagues!
We invite you to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Agricultural Science: Innovative Solutions in Agriculture, Plant Growing, and Breeding,” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the SPC of Grain Farming named after A.I. Baraev (formerly the All-Union, then Kazakh Research Institute of Grain Farming named after A.I. Baraev).
The conference will take place on July 23-24, 2026. As part of the event, a Field Day will be held on July 24 on the basis of Scientific and Production Center of Grain farming named after A.I. Baraev, dedicated to the conference
The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists, agronomists, plant breeders, and industry experts to share the latest scientific achievements, practical technologies, and strategies for improving the resilience of agroecosystems to abiotic and biotic factors.
The conference will focus primarily on the following issues:
- Intensive farming Sustainable use of land resources, preservation and restoration of soil fertility. Discussion of fertilization systems, crop rotations, and no-till farming methods for sustainable yield increases.
- Diversification of plant growing Mixed and rotational cropping systems as a way to sustainable and profitable production; the economic and agroecological benefits of diversification.
- Organic farming New opportunities for producing high-quality products: agricultural technologies that do not use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, the market, and quality standards
- Precision farming The way to innovative agriculture
- Gene pool and breeding Breeding for resistance to abiotic stresses and biotic threats is the foundation of sustainable agricultural development.
The purpose of Field Day is to demonstrate scientific achievements, promising crop varieties, modern farming technologies, agricultural machinery, and the results of experimental field studies.
We’re planning to:
- Demonstration of experimental and commercial crops;
- Presentation of scientific research and innovative technologies;
- Exhibition of modern agricultural machinery;
- Exchange of experience between scientists and farmers;
- Practical consultations and discussion forums.
Participation Format:
- Face-to-face and distance learning (online);
- Presentation of the report;
- Participation in the exhibition and demonstration program at the Field Day.
After the conference:
The participants’ reports will be included in the conference program and published in the conference proceedings.
