Today attend the meeting at the National Agrarian Research and Education Center, where Chairman T.S. Rakhimbekov together with the subsidiaries of the NAREC, met with the President of the National Institute of Agricultural Technologies of Argentina (INTA), Mr. H.I. Balbina before signing the Memorandum of Cooperation. The problems and prospects of joint activities were considered in details.
Argentina today is among the developed agrarian countries of the world and is a global producer of food and agro-industrial goods, whose exports account for 55% of the total Argentine exports. Argentina with a population of about 40 million people produces agricultural products for 400 million people, i.e. each Argentinian provides food to 10 people on the planet. For the most part, the position that Argentina occupies today in the international market is due to the achievements of agrarian science, including the introduction of new advanced technologies into production with the assistance of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA).
Kazakh scientists already have experience of cooperation with NIAT, so at the end of 2018 the delegation of the National Agrarian Research and Education Center visited the head office in Argentina. The main purpose of the trip was the exchange of experience, the definition of world priorities in the field of agricultural research and the choice of an effective transfer of agricultural technologies for the conditions of Kazakhstan.
