On October 16, 2019, at the International scientific practical seminar “My first pivot: an introduction to mechanized irrigated agriculture” was held at the Scientific-production Center for grain farming named after A.I. Barayev. The seminar is organized by SPCGF and American company Valmont, and it was attended by Kazakhstani and foreign agricultural companies (USA, Russia, Uzbekistan).
Oleg Alexandrov, Senninger Regional Manager for the Middle East and Eastern Europe, made the presentation “Correct choice of sprinklers and pressure regulators”. During the presentation, participants were told about the importance of using the right type of sprinkler and its effect on irrigation of various crops and achieving the ultimate goal in effective irrigation of crops.
Sergey Stefanov, Valley Regional Director of Sales, made a presentation “Developing an irrigation project: From GPS- coordinates to installing systems in the field”.
In turn, the Valley Territorial Sales Manager, Nikolai Ryabov, spoke about remote access to Valley irrigation systems and operating costs for irrigation.
At the end of the event, international experts showed the participants varieties of pressure regulators and examples of their work in the fields.
“Due to the fact that Kazakhstan is increasing the cultivated area under irrigation it would be desirable for such seminars to be held on an ongoing basis,” the seminar participants noted.
