Preparation for spring field work: discussion of the strategy of the sowing campaign with farmers

On March 25 was held a seminar on the topic: “Spring field work and effective use of modern agricultural machinery”. Agricultural producers from Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions took part in the seminar.
At the seminar, Nurlan Amangeldinovich Serekpaev, Chairman of the Board of Directors “SPCGF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP, presented recommendations to farmers on the strategy and tactics of spring field work in 2022, developed by the agriculture department taking into account the conditions prevailing for the month of March. In his speech, he noted that these recommendations will be clarified and adjusted according to weather conditions, precipitation of April-month and posted on the official website of the Center: baraev. kz.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Zabolotskikh, Head of the Laboratory of Biological Agriculture, spoke on the topic: “Measures for the conservation and rational use of soil moisture”. Recommendations on preparing seeds for sowing were voiced by Kochorov Abdumamat Suleymanovich, head of the Plant protection laboratory. The issues of peculiarities of cereals, legumes, oilseeds cultivation agricultural technology were also touched upon. Mukhanov Nurbolat Kaiyrboldyevich, head of the laboratory of agricultural technology of field crops and crop diversification, made a report on this topic.
The use of mineral fertilizers for cereals, legumes and oilseeds was discussed in detail with farmers. During the discussion, the questions of farmers were answered by Nazdrachev Yakov Pavlovich, senior researcher at the Laboratory of Agrochemistry and Fertilizers.
Skoblikov Vladimir Fedorovich, Head of the Laboratory of Precision Farming made a presentation on the topic: “Elements of precision farming in the system of spring field work”.
Yelzhas Konyspekovich Kairzhanov, Head of the laboratory of spring soft wheat Breeding and Irina Petrovna Oshergina, Head of the Department of cereals, legumes, forage and oilseeds breeding, gave detailed answers to topical questions on promising varieties of agricultural crops. Breeders presented new promising varieties of agricultural crops, breeding SPC GFadapted to the conditions of climate change.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the company “Eurasia Group Kazakhstan” LLP. An overview of innovative solutions for spring field work, a presentation of modern agricultural machinery was made by Dmitry Gavrilov. The seminar participants asked questions about maintenance and prompt delivery of spare parts during the sowing campaign.
Following the results of the seminar, farmers highly appreciated the timely information provided, practical recommendations of scientists that will help to better prepare and effectively conduct an important agricultural campaign.
