On April 12, 2022, on the Professional Day of Kazakh Science Workers, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Seifullin Readings-18: “Youth and Science - a look into the future” was held, the plenary session of which was opened by Tokbergenov Ismail Tasanbievich, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Scientific and Innovative Activities of the “KATU named after S.Seifullin” NJSC. In his welcoming speech, he noted that at the junction of fundamental and applied science, the role and place of research institutions is increasing, which is the Kazakh Agrotechnical University, one of the authoritative agricultural universities of the country. He bears the burden of responsibility in the block of universities and research centers for the training of scientific personnel who can consistently implement the proven triad - scientific laboratory -auditorium - field -production, as is customary in world practice. Currently, as a result of the pooling of resources, the academic scientific potential has significantly increased. There is a noticeable publication activity among young scientists and this was confirmed on the above-mentioned dialogue platform.
At the plenary session, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of“SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP Serekpayev N.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors “KazNIILH and Agroforestry” LLP Rakhimzhanov A.N. made a welcoming speech to the participants and guests of the conference and made a report: “Modern youth – the innovative potential of the future” Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, Grand PhD, senior lecturer of the Department of “Economics” of KATU named after S. Seifullin, Bulkhairov Zh.S. In their speeches, they noted that, according to the established tradition, a conference of this level just serves as a recognized dialogue platform for reviewing the work of students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young scientists. For each of them, participation in such significant scientific events is an excellent opportunity to highlight their scientific work, promote a constructive exchange of views on priority areas of scientific research, the development of innovations, intellectual skills, and the popularization of science among young people.
After the end of the plenary session, the work of the conference on hearing reports was continued in 14 sections. The conference was held in offline and online formats in two sections at the SPCGF named after A.I.Barayev, which was attended by 89 young scientists from the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev, KATU named after S. Seifullin, Karabalyk Agricultural Academy, Kazakh National Agrarian University, Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing, Kazakh Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry named after A.N. Bukeikhan.
28 reports in Kazakh, Russian and English were heard at the breakout sessions.
Among the invited participants were representatives of the Russian Federation: “Omsk Agrarian Research Center”, Tomsk State University, All-Russian Research Institute of Organic Fertilizers and Peat – a branch of “Verkhnevolzhsky FANC”.
According to the results of the conference, the best research works were awarded with diplomas and letters of thanks.
