A new head of the Grain Farming Center named after A.I.Barayev has been appointed

By order of “Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S.Seifullin” NJSC No. 812 ж/к dated October 14, 2022. Kanafin Bilgibai was appointed Chairman of the Board of Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev LLP on the basis of the protocol resolution of the Board of Directors of KATU named after S.Seifullin NJSC No. 9 dated October 13, 2022.

After completing his studies at the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute, he began his career in 1983 at the All-Union Research Institute of Grain Farming as a junior researcher and worked there in various positions. In 2007, he was appointed Deputy Director for the implementation of scientific developments and production management of at the “Scientific and Production Center named after A.I. Barayev” RSE of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2008 to 2020, Bilgibai Kanafin held the position of Director of the North Kazakhstan Agricultural Experimental Station LLP

Scientificactivity

Bilgibai Kanafin has published 12 scientific papers, has 2 author’s certificates, and holds the title of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences. He is the author of 7 varieties of agricultural crops of the breeding of the SPC GF named after A.I.Barayev.

2015 — has an innovative patent No. 30299 “Method of growing spring wheat seeds”.

Awards and achievements

He was awarded the Order of “Kurmet”, the jubilee medal in honor of the 100^th Anniversary of the birth of Academician A.I. Barayev and the jubilee medal for the 25^th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
