Solve problems based on real production

Within the cooperation and further promotion of scientific recommendations to increase the sustainability of grain production, a fruitful meeting of scientists with agrarians took place at the site of the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev.

Within the program of the center for the dissemination of agricultural knowledge, a practical seminar was held on the topic: “Agrotechnical techniques for increasing the sustainability of grain production” on the initiative of the private company “UnicomCropsLimited” represented by Director Jazin Farhat Amangeldievich. This seminar was attended by specialists of the agronomic and engineering service of “Novokubanskoye” LLP and subsidiaries of this company from the Zerendinsky district.

The necessity and relevance of close cooperation between scientists and practitioners was outlined in the speeches of the head of the Grain Farming Center named after A.I. Barayev Kanafin Bilgibai Kamalovich and the founder of the company Jakhutashvili Shalva Grigorievich.

Kanat Ashkeevich Akshalov, Head of the Laboratory of Adaptive and Agro-landscape Technologies, delivered the main report to the participants of the seminar. The report highlighted the main factors and opportunities to increase the productivity of arable land in the conditions of the Shortandinsky and Zerendinsky districts. It was noted that the real challenges that have a significant impact on the sustainability of grain production are the manifestation of drought and hot weather events. To mitigate the negative impact of weather conditions and stabilize the production of products, production workers should pay serious attention to the issues of accumulation and preservation of soil moisture. Specific recommendations were recommended for the accumulation of winter moisture under the prevailing conditions of autumn and early winter, taking into account the state of the soil and landscape of the land use area. Much attention was paid to the creation of nutrition conditions for grain crops from the point of view of optimal seed distribution per unit area, row spacing, the use of mineral fertilizers using modern sowing complexes. It was noted that the issues of soil protection from wind and water erosion form the basis of the sustainable functioning of soil protection farming systems. The main factors of repeated erosion processes from year to year were noted. The prospects for the use of drought-resistant varieties of spring wheat of domestic selection were highlighted in the speech of Kairzhanov Elzhas Konyspekovich, head of the laboratory of spring soft wheat breeding. Varieties of spring wheat, different in type of maturation and quality, were recommended. The growing conditions of these varieties were particularly noted. The experience of using various types and forms of mineral fertilizers was shared by senior researcher of the Laboratory of Agrochemistry and Fertilizers Nazdrachev Yakov Pavlovich. Taking into account the structure of crops, optimal doses of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers and the technology of their application were recommended.

During the seminar, the opinions of both scientists and practitioners were listened to. During the exchange of views, the pressing problems of practitioners were outlined. During the discussion, the parties came to the conclusion that scientists should pay attention to the real conditions of production and practice joint work more widely on large production areas.
