Topical issues of plant protection and quarantine

Today, the Akimat of the district of Shortandy settlement held an agrocultural training organized by the Shortandy district territorial Inspection. The meeting was attended by representatives of state and non-state industry institutions, heads of agricultural formations.

Great interest was aroused by the speeches of the invited speakers - scientists of the SPC GF named after A. I.Barayev. Senior researchers of the Plant Protection Laboratory,Tuleeva Asiya Kuzairovna, Ph.D in Agricultural sciences and Utelbayev Yerlan Amanzholovich, Grand PhD in their reports presented information on modern methods of plant protection from diseases and pests, crop losses when protective measures are underestimated, on the strategy and tactics of controlling a dangerous quarantine object – Russian centaury.

It was emphasized that at the present stage of agriculture development, the phytosanitary section occupies an increasingly important place in crop cultivation technologies. Based on specific data, it was shown how plant protection measures affect the size of the crop, ensuring its safety from pests, diseases, as well as what complex of agrotechnical and chemical measures to gradually achieve eradication from the fields of Russian centaury.

In recent years, with the expansion of ranges, changes in the ranks of harmful species, increased harmfulness of some of them in the complexes of pathogens, phytophages, weeds, as well as with a significant increase in prices for pesticides in all market segments, a reasonable approach to the choice of plant protection products and methods of their application is needed.

During the event, the opinions of the participants of the meeting were listened to. We came to a consensus that improving the progressive dynamics in plant protection and quarantine issues is possible with close cooperation of science, all interested services and representatives of agribusiness. There is a State support in this direction.
