A seminar organized jointly with the Akmola Regional Territorial Inspection of the State Inspection Committee in the Agro Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the participation of Mars Almabek Marsovich, Chairman of the State Inspection Committee in the Agroindustrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held at the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev. The topic of the seminar is “Plant protection system: Control and measures to control weeds using remote monitoring of cereals and oilseeds crops”. The seminar was attended by representatives of economic entities of the Akmola region, employees and specialists of the Akmola STI SIC in the Agroindustrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akmola branch of the RSE at the REU “Phytosanitary” SIC in the Agroindustrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akmola branch of the RSU “RMCPDF” SIC in the Agroindustrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Special attention on the seminar has been given to the measures to control the quarantine weed Russian centaury (pink). Russian centaury refers to malicious weeds that hinder the normal growth and development of cultivated plants, primarily grain crops. The presence of mustard in the fields brings great losses to agricultural producers, directly affecting the reduction of export opportunities for grain production, affecting the food security of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the practical part in the fields of the Bozaygyr rural district of the Shortandinsky district, Lakpayev Rustem Serikovich, Head of the Akkol regional branch of the RSU “RMCPDF” SIC in the agro-industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, familiarized the participants with the root system and morphology of the Russian centaury (pink) on the soil section. Tominov Nikolay Viktorovich, Chief agronomist of “Raevka” LLP of the Shortandinsky district, shared his practical experience in controlling the malicious weed. The specialists of the farm demonstrated the process of carrying out chemical treatments with a knapsack and a trailer sprayer. There was also a demonstration of the work of tillage equipment on mechanical processing of the field against weeds. Svetlana Orekhova, an agronomist from the Zharkainsky district, told about the use of modern agrichemicals for Russian centaury.
At the site of the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev, the participants got acquainted with the main activities of the structural divisions of the State Inspection Committee in the agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Serekpayev Nurlan Amangeldinovich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP, informed the participants of the seminar about the main activities and scientific and practical achievements of the Center.
The plenary, theoretical part of the seminar was held in the assembly hall of the Center. With a presentation on the topic “Biological features of quarantine weed, Russian centaury. Agrotechnical and chemical measures for weed control” was made by Utelbayev Yerlan Amanzholovich, senior researcher at the Plant Protection Laboratory of “SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP. Theoretical basis for the regulation of the phytosanitary condition of cereals, oilseeds, leguminous crops were presented by Tuleyeva Asiya Kuzairovna, senior researcher at the Plant Protection Laboratory of “SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP. Lisenovich Alexander Ivanovich, a researcher at the Laboratory of Precision Farming of “SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP, presented a presentation on the topic: “Remote monitoring of agricultural crops”, which provided an overview of modern remote monitoring hardware and software, problematic issues and successful practical experience of implementation in production in Northern Kazakhstan.
During the seminar, a wide discussion of topical issues of plant protection took place. Representatives of economic entities have expressed interest in cooperation with the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev in order to develop and timely implement effective measures to protect crops from harmful objects.
