Last week, the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Baraev was visited by famous foreign and domestic scientists Laurent Gentebittel, Professor, PhD in Biological sciences, representative of the Project Center of Agrotechnologies Skoltech Agro, Cecile Ben, PhD in Engineering sciences, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Laboratory of digital agriculture of Skoltech Agro, Vladimir Shamanin, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Alexey Morgunov, Kazakh agricultural scientist, international expert and Timur Savin, PhD in Biological sciences, Director of the Department of Science of KATU named after S.Seifullin.
The purpose of the trip was to get acquainted with the activities of the famous Kazakhstan industry Center and its achievements. The guests began their first acquaintance with the historical museum, which reflects all the multifaceted activities of the team of scientists for more than half a century. The exhibition of breeding achievements of scientists was visited with great interest, new promising varieties of wheat “Taimas” and lentils “Sakura”, created recently in our Center, caused a lively discussion along with other popular crops that have successfully proven themselves among agricultural producers. Then, on the professional platform of the Center for the Dissemination of Knowledge, productive communication between foreign colleagues and scientists of the Center on new methods for the development of breeding science, new trends and challenges related to global climate change and other issues of interest took place.
The main result of the fruitful communication of scientists at the round table in the Center was the actual exchange of experience in the designated areas within the framework of international cooperation. In turn, during the exchange of views, the parties noted that all the presented materials of scientists revealed a multifaceted approach in the search for scientific solutions for the accelerated development of applied agricultural science.
