Kiryushin Valeriy Ivanovich soil scientist, doctor of biological sciences and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. V. Kiryushin was born on March 21, 1941, in the village Bukachacha at Chernyshevsky district of the Chitinskoya region. In 1964 he graduated from the MoscowAgricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev. Since 1964, he began working at the All-Union Scientific-research institute for grain farming as a senior research specialist. In 1975 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences “Solonets of Northern Kazakhstan, ways to increase their fertility and use” (Leningrad). From 1966 to 1982 he worked as the head of the department of chemistry and land reclamation of the All-Union scientific research institute for grain farming. The main direction of scientific activity of V. Kiryushin was soil science, reclamation of solonetzes, and agrolandscape farming. Valery Ivanovich has 81 published works and monographs. In 1973 he was awarded the medal "For Labor Distinction".
