Gromov Alexander Gerasimovich

One of the scientists who have invested tremendous work in the activities of the A.I. Barayev SPCGF is Gromov Alexander Gerasimovich, Doctor of technical sciences (1987), mechanical engineer.

A. Gromov was born on September 1, 1935, in a village Ust-Kozlukh Krasnoshchekovsky district of the Altai territory. Biography of A.G. Gromov deserves all respect. A simple peasant guy from a remote Altai village went a difficult life from a schoolboy to a famous scientist: high school, military service, studies at the Altai Agricultural Institute (1962), production work and postgraduate studies at the Chelyabinsk Institute of Mechanization and Electrification.

Alexander Gerasimovich entered the All-Union Research Institute for Grain Farming in 1967 as the head of the laboratory for post-harvest grain processing.

In 1975, A.G. Gromov became the head of the department of mechanization, and in 1986, deputy director for scientific work. In total, Alexander Gerasimovich worked at the Institute for grain farming for more than 38 years.

In 1967 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences: "Study of the process of working a cylindrical trie with vertical vibrations" (Chelyabinsk).

In 1984 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences: “Technological foundations of the stability of grain processing systems to adverse factors in the regional conditions of its production” (Chelyabinsk).

During his scientific career, he published 55 scientific papers on harvesting and post-harvest grain processing, including the monograph “Stabilization and Efficiency of Grain separation and drying”, received 23 copyright certificates for inventions and one preliminary patent, he also supervised and prepared three graduate students.

The works of Alexander Gerasimovich on post-harvest grain processing have been published in many scientific journals, and his name, as a scientist, is known not only in Kazakhstan and Russia, but also in foreign countries.
