Collaboration between IOFS and scientists of the A.Barayev SPCGF continues

Representatives of the secretariat of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) headed by the adviser on research and technology Ismail Abdul Hamid paid a business visit to the Scientific- Production Center for Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev to exchange of views on the initiated projects of the IOFS, as well as discussion of issues of creating a Bank of Genetic Resources and centers of advanced technologies.

During the visit, the IOFS participants visited the public museum, the analytical department, where they were introduced to the monitoring of the microbiological state of wheat grain cultivated according to various agricultural technologies and the determination of the quality of spring wheat grain when assessing environmental risks in the conditions of Northern Kazakhstan, and they were also shown the system of management of a precision farming landfill in Project Management Center.

At the end of the meeting, the participants were presented the achievements and ways of developing spring wheat breeding in the conditions of Northern Kazakhstan, in turn, the representative of the participating party Ismail Abdul Hamid noted in his speech that the IOFS is designed to provide experience and technical know-how to the states members of the OIC on various aspects of the effective development of agriculture, food security and biotechnology, and also emphasized that the well-known scientific developments in the world scientific community of such leading Centers as the A.Barayev SPCGF are of great interest to the IOFS in promoting food security.
