The role and significance of breeding achievements is increasing every year, since modern plant breeding allows scientists to create more productive, effective, disease-resistant plant varieties that benefit agricultural producers, who use them to improve the quality of nutrition in products for humans and animals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, the products that produce various medicines from herbal medicines to the country, which thereby ensures food security.
 The need to combine the interests of society and the state in the field of ensuring food security, on the one hand, and the commercial interests of individual subjects of breeding activity, on the other hand, causes an increased interest in this area of activity.

Scientists of LLP "A. I. Barayev SPCGF" in 2020 received patents for breeding achievements: Spring oats Bayzat;  Spring barley Tselinny golozernyi.

The Bayzat variety is mid-season, the vegetation period is 81-87 days. Feed grade. Differs in resistance to drought, lodging, high survival rate of plants in the field (up to 95%), adaptability and ecological plasticity.
 Under conditions of a provocative background, the Bayzat variety is resistant to damage by latent stem pests and the Swedish fly, under conditions of an infectious background it is weakly susceptible to head smut.  The protein content over the years of research varied from 12.69 to 17.58%.

In the production variety testing, the yield of the Bayzat variety was 30.0 c / ha, 5.0 c / ha higher than of the Skakun standard.

The Bayzat variety has been approved for use since 2019 in the Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Karaganda, North Kazakhstan and East Kazakhstan regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Spring barley Tselinny golozernyi was bred by individual-family selection from IKARDA sample IKARDA crossing BCB Ent 32. Nudum variety.

Mid-season ripening type.  The shape of the bush is erect, the stem is of medium thickness.  Plant height 80-110cm.  Stem nodes in the phase of waxy ripeness have an anthocyanin coloration.  The ear is two-rowed yellow, loose.  Awns are long (1.5 times the length of an ear), serrated.

Grain is medium in size, without membrane, elliptical in shape, grain color is straw-yellow with a brownish tint.  The weight of 1000 grains is 46.4-49.6 g. The average yield of the variety over the years of testing in the nursery of competitive variety testing was 35.5 c / ha, which exceeded the standard Tselinnyi 91 by 4.3 c / ha.  The excess yield is provided due to the grain content of the ear and plant.  The protein content of the grain is 17.0-18.6%, which is 1.9% higher than of the standard variety.

The variety has been approved for use since 2017 in Akmola, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.скачать dle 12.0
