Monitoring of grain crop yield forecast in the dry period by districts of Akmola region

News / Main news
The change in the global climate with rapid warming has been reflected everywhere and in our fields. The average annual temperature has been increasing for the last 45 years, every 10 years it is increasing and is 0.32 degrees. To find out the situation on the places in Akmola region, monitoring of crops with sampling and determination of biological yield was carried out as part of scientists of theSPC GF named after A.I. Barayev Kiyas A.A.- acting head of the Department of Agriculture, Mukanov N.K. - head of the Laboratory of agricultural technology of field crops and diversification and crop Production, A.S. Aldabergenova, junior researcher of  plant protection laboratory Kharitonova D.S., junior researcher of crop rotations laboratory. The working trip began with a visit to the crops of “Suraeva Yu.V.” PE of Arshaly district. Entrepreneur Suraev Yuri Viktorovich sowed Sudanese grass for the purpose of fodder production for the development of animal husbandry. We also conducted an inspection of grain crops and took samples of crops from 1 sq.m. with the determination of biological yield, plant height from 27 to 45 cm.The number of stems is 171-205 pieces per 1 sq.m., in one ear from 6 to 15 pieces of grain.
Then we went to the Korgalzhyn district, to the “Zhaken-2” LLP, the head Mantikov Galy Toygululy, together we watched the crops with plant sampling. Spring wheat crops are sown in optimal time. The height of the plants is from 21 cm to 43 cm, on each square meter the number of stems on the plants of the plants was 177-255 pcs. Approximately the biological yield of spring wheat was 9.3 c/ha.The next route was to Egindykol district, “Korkem Agro” LLP, the head of the farmTuyakov Kabiden Omirzakuly showed his crops.
Samples of plants were taken to determine the biological yield. Wheat was sown after barley, plant height from 28 to 47 cm, per 1 sq.m. the number of stems on plants was 168 to 212 pieces. The projected biological yield will be 9.6 c/ha. It should be noted that barley in dry years shows a higher yield than spring wheat. The next route ran through the Astrakhan district, “Farmer 2002” LLP. The head of this farm, Pelzer Valery Alexandrovich, showed his crops. Next, the selection of stems from 1 sq.m. of plants was carried out in order to determine the biological yield. The farm uses resource-saving technologies, wheat was sown by direct sowing, the height of the crops was 28-46 cm. The area of sq.m. the number of stems was 166-231 pieces. The projected biological yield of spring wheat will be 8.9 c/ha.
As a result, it is worth noting that it is very noticeable how the current drought has greatly affected the crop yield. The lack of precipitation and high air temperatures negatively affected their maturation in the surveyed areas of the Akmola region. Therefore, we recommend planning the harvesting of grain crops from the middle of the 2nd decade of August this year.
Therefore, farmers face the main task-to conduct a harvesting campaign in a timely and high-quality manner. The material was prepared by A.A. Kiyas, Acting Head of the Department of Agriculture of the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev
