SFW: Akmola farmers discuss quality of spring field work with scientists from the SPC GF

In this agricultural year Akmola region has set the tone for the early start of the current sowing campaign. The discussion of the forthcoming spring field work is held in all rural areas, in which scientists of SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev took an active part.
At the agricultural meeting on the course of preparation for spring field work in 2025, which was held today in the district Birjan sal with the participation of district Akim Kassenov Baurzhan Kazybekovich outlined the tasks before farmers and responsible employees of the Department of Agriculture to mobilise all the possibilities of agricultural production in order to qualitatively conduct spring field work. The issues of crop production diversification, subsidising farms and other equally important issues were also touched upon.
In their speeches Kiyas Aldabergen Aldangaruly, head of the laboratory of crop rotations and Zhanzakov Bakhtiyar Zhetpispaevich, head of the Laboratory of Precision Farming referring to the data of many years of scientific research of the Centre paid special attention to the issues of competent application of agro-technologies in farms, in this regard, the need for closer cooperation between farmers and scientists in improving the culture of farming in order to good harvest.
In general, the range of issues to be discussed was very various, these are the following issues search for effective ways to diversify profitable crops, agrotechnical peculiarities of crop cultivation, effective use of the level and quantity of moisture reserves accumulated in different agricultural fields before sowing crops. Also the questions of crop rotation, competent application of mineral fertilisers and its influence on crop yields were not left without attention.
Farmers, in turn, shared their experience and highlighted the main problems they face in the production process. In addition, scientists presented new achievements in agricultural science and advantages of using efficient technologies and gave necessary recommendations.
