Today the Chairman of the Board of «SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev» LLP Savin Timur Vladimirovich took part in the agricultural meeting of the North-Kazakhstan region with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saparov Aidarbek Seipellovich, where the key aspects of preparation and implementation of spring field work in the region were discussed. The meeting was attended by agricultural producers of the region and representatives of scientific communities and interested sectoral structures of the republic.

T.V. Savin’s presentation was based on the analysis of agrometeorological data, the results of scientific research and practical experience of work with breeding material of SPC GF scientists.

Taking into account agrometeorological conditions of the current season, the scientist drew the attention of farmers to the necessity of pre-sowing preparation of seeds, conducting laboratory tests to determine the sowing qualities of seeds, air-thermal heating, disinfection of seed material, control of storage and conditions of seed preparation.

In the issues of varieties selection in the conditions of Northern Kazakhstan, the attention of agricultural producers was focused on the need to follow important principles such as optimisation of varietal composition, selection of varieties taking into account weather conditions, recommended structure of wheat varieties and practical recommendations to increase yields taking into account the use of local domestic varieties and including promising varieties of SPC GF selection, which are adapted successfully in the northern regions. In conclusion, the scientist drew the attention of farmers to the main agrometeorological, phytosanitary, soil, agrochemical, technological and economic risks of the current agricultural year and measures to reduce the above mentioned risks, which will minimise yield losses and increase the efficiency of farming in 2025.

Today, it is important for farmers to realise that effective planning and the use of scientific advice will minimise risks and achieve high yields.
