Representatives of the FOLUR project met with scientists of the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev.

FOLUR project representatives consisting of Adambek Nurzhan, Manager, Birzhan Evniev, Financial Analyst and Alexey Morgunov, Technical Advisor made a working visit to the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev. During the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board Savin Timur told about applied research of the Center's scientists on development of technology for cultivation of grain, leguminous, oilseed and fodder crops and creation of new varieties. Collaboration opportunities under the UNDP-GEF project “Promotion of Sustainable Agricultural Production System and Protection of Landscape Ecosystems in Northern Kazakhstan” (FOLURI) were discussed with scientists.
In conclusion, scientists noted the importance of the planned research, which will contribute to a productive exchange of experience and will bring a new impulse in the development of agricultural science. It is quite obvious that these scientific initiatives will promote, first of all, a close partnership between science and agribusiness.
