The SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev celebrated the Agricultural Workers’ Day

Today, a celebration dedicated to Agricultural Workers’ Day was held at the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev. This year, declared the Year of Working Professions by the Decree of President of the country Tokayev Kassym-Jomart, the importance of honoring the labor of people who support the important economic sector of agriculture has increased significantly.
The rich history of our Grain Farming Centre, which is well known in the global scientific community, has more than half a century and is directly related to this major holiday for all farmers. In his welcoming speech, Chairman of the Board Savin Timur warmly congratulated everyone on their professional holiday and noted that this year's harvest campaign had been successfully completed. This result is not a coincidence, but the outcome of the systematic work that the Centre has been carrying out over the past few years, preparing for stable and high yields in a sharply continental climate. This season’s weather conditions were favorable for the ripening and harvesting of grain crops, which helped preserve grain quality. The average yield per farm was 23 centners per hectare, which is a respectable result for a high-risk farming area.
Modern agricultural machinery, including new grain harvesters, was used in the harvesting process, ensuring high speeds and minimal losses during harvesting. Thanks to the competent organization of engineering and technical services and timely maintenance of the machine park, all work was carried out without delays or crop losses.
With great satisfaction, Timur Vladimirovich thanked all employees for their professionalism, commitment to traditional forms of work and tireless search for new solutions, thanks to which cooperation between scientists and farmers is strengthening, advanced agricultural technologies are being introduced and new sought-after crop varieties are being created. He then presented letters of thanks and valuable gifts to all those who had distinguished themselves in their work throughout the agricultural year, including employees of the mechanization department, the crop production and seed production department, and other divisions.
The culminating moment of the event was the announcement of the results of the traditional competition for the 2025 autumn field work, which was announced at the end of August. It is held to encourage the most active workers who achieved high performance during the 2025 production work, to provide material motivation, to increase labor productivity and work quality, and to ensure the effective use of the existing fleet of agricultural machinery.
The hosts announced the winners in the categories “Best Mechanic”, “Best Garage Driver”, and “Best Grain Flow Worker”. The head of the Centre, Savin T.V., presented all nominees with cash certificates. In turn, the machine operators, drivers and grain elevator workers who were awarded the title of best expressed their gratitude to the Centre’s management for the high assessment of their work and the corresponding financial incentives. Production leaders Morozov E.I., Skorodumov S.N. and Savenko N.V. called on everyone to work effectively, as the conditions created at the SPC GF, namely a renewed fleet of modern agricultural machinery, a stable supply of fuel and lubricants, and subsidized meals, allow them to work efficiently and receive decent wages.
The artists of the House of Culture of Shortandy District set a cheerful mood for the employees in the hall that day, putting everyone in a positive mood. Each performance by the talented performers was accompanied by long, warm applause.
