The harvesting campaign at the “SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev” LLP has been successfully completed!

News

The harvest campaign of 2025 has been completed at the “Scientific and Production Centre for Grain Farming named after A. I. Barayev” LLP. This result is not a coincidence, but the result of systematic work that the Centre has been carrying out over the past few years, preparing for stable and high yields in a sharply continental climate.
This season’s weather conditions contributed to good ripening and harvesting of grain crops, which made it possible to preserve high-quality grain. The average yield per farm was 23 centners per hectare, which is a worthy result for a high-risk farming area.
Advanced agricultural equipment, including new grain harvesters, was involved in the harvesting process, ensuring high speeds and minimal losses during harvesting. Thanks to the competent organisation of engineering and technical services and timely maintenance of the vehicle fleet, all work was carried out without delays or crop losses. The Centre’s chief engineer, Abildin Darkhan Serikovich, made a significant contribution to this.
The chief agronomist, Tashenov Maksut Zhalelovich, was responsible for the high level of organisation of field work and control of agrotechnological processes. Under his leadership, decisions were implemented on moisture conservation, optimal sowing dates and plant protection.
The Centre’s scientists — breeders, agrochemists, agrotechnologists, and plant protection specialists — have made a significant contribution to achieving these impressive results. Years of research and the introduction of innovative technologies into production have made it possible to increase crop yields, crop resilience and seed quality. The Centre's breeders create and promote varieties that are adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Northern Kazakhstan and are resistant to drought and disease. Plant protection specialists ensured the phytosanitary safety of crops, agrochemists provided balanced nutrition for crops, and agrotechnologists introduced modern methods of soil cultivation and moisture conservation. It was the interaction of science and practice that became the key to a successful harvesting campaign.
After completing the harvesting campaign, the team moved on to the next stage — cleaning, calibrating and preparing seed material for the 2026 season. This will provide agricultural producers of the region with high-quality seeds of domestic selection.
We would like to thank the entire team of the Centre for their dedicated work, high professionalism and commitment to the development of Kazakhstani agricultural science!
