At the experimental hospital of the group of agricultural crop cultivation and crop production diversification of A.I. Barayev SPCGF after harvesting lentils, employees are selecting soil samples. These sampling is carried out to determine the reserves of productive moisture in the soil. According to the data obtained, in conjunction with precipitation during the growing season, moisture consumption of lentils from the soil will be calculated.

In addition to conducting research work, the group is actively preparing a field for setting up experiments for the coming year. To obtain a well-aligned area for scientific experiments, a number of mechanical treatments of the field are carried out with soil processing tools.
