On 20 May 2025, “Scientific and Production Centre of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev” LLP organised open ecological lessons dedicated to the Day of Environmental Education for students and teachers of schools No. 1, 2 and 3 of Shortandy settlement, Damsinskaya and Stepnaya schools, as well as secondary school of Nauchny settlement of Shortandy district. The presentation on “Rational use of water resources and water saving technologies in agriculture” was made by Tolegen Bazykenov, an expert on water saving technologies.
This event was held within the project “Increasing economic independence and improving the status of women in rural areas of Central Asia through access to irrigation water and infrastructure”. The main objective is to increase the efficiency of water use and reduce water losses, increasing agricultural productivity
