Safronov Nikolay Petrovich, scientist-agronomist, Doctor of Economics. N. Safronov was born on August 5, 1936 in the village of Kailastuy, Borzinsky district, Chita region. In 1960 he graduated from the Irkutsk Agricultural Institute. In the period from 1960 to 1967 he worked as an agronomist, senior agronomist, chief economist at the grain farm named after S.M. Kirov of the Kokchetav region. In 1967 he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences “Issues of improving land use and reducing the cost of crop production” (Shortandy). In 1984 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences "Economic problems of soil-protective agriculture in the grain production of Northern Kazakhstan" (Novosibirsk). In 1967-1986 he worked at the All-Union Research Institute for grain farming: as head of the Laboratory for Economic Efficiency of the Agriculture System, Head of the Department of Economics, Deputy Director for Scientific Work. The main direction of his scientific activity was the economic problems of increasing the efficiency of grain production in soil-protective agriculture. He was awarded the Order of Lenin. N. Safronov has published more than 90 scientific papers, 14 methodologies, 1 monograph “Economic problems of increasing the efficiency of grain production in soil-protective agriculture”. Nikolai Petrovich passed away on September 25, 1986 in the village of Shortandy.
