The Scientific Library is an important element of the structure of the Scientific and Production Center named after A.I. Barayev.The formation of the library fund began in 1957. The first books of the foundation were textbooks used by scientists of the Shortandinsky Agricultural Experimental Station, on the basis of which the Scientific Research Institute of Grain Farming was founded in 1956.
The library's book collection is recognized as unique. In 2021, during the reconstruction of the library, a retrofund was formed, which included scientific publications on botany and biology, geographical atlases and encyclopedias of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
The library fund is a rich collection of educational and scientific literature, domain-specific encyclopedias, dictionaries, guidebooks, research reports, bibliographic, informational and periodicals. Over the years, funds of foreign and fiction literature have been formed.
Today, selected publications: scientific, educational and reference literature, methodological manuals, recommendations, dissertations and abstracts are included in the electronic library resource of the Kazakh Agrarian and Technical University named after S. Seifullin. The electronic fund of which is available for use by employees and specialists of the Scientific and Production Center named after A.I. Barayev.
Taking into account the wishes of the staff, a comfortable reading room for 18 seats is organized in the library. Students and scientists have the opportunity to work with the necessary scientific literature, have access to periodicals.
The Scientific Library of the Center cooperates with the branch of the Pavlodar Scientific and Technical Library. The exchange of data on the selection of thematic literature is actively carried out.
