A workshop “Skillathon - for women scientists”

On March 28, 2023, within the framework of the UNDP project “Using Nationally Determined Contributions (ONUV) to achieve zero emissions and climate-resilient development in response to a climate emergency”, a workshop “Skillathon - for women scientists” was held with the financial support of the Government of Japan (From the People of Japan) and Astana IT University. The organizers of the seminar invited 37 women scientists from all over the republic, conducting research in agriculture, agriculture, crop production, biology, chemistry, etc.
Our researchers Akhmetova Aigul, Bazylova Dana and Akhylbekova Balzhan were invited to participate in the above-mentioned seminar.
The seminar became a dialogue platform between speakers and participants to expand knowledge and apply it in practice for conducting scientific research in the modern conditions of a dynamic changing world. The speakers revealed the most vulnerable problems and gave advice on the use of such approaches as system thinking in research, commercialization of scientific ideas, obtaining project financing, raising the image of a scientist, competent writing of literary reviews, digitalization in science, time managing wisely.
The speakers were specialists and professionals in their fields of activity Katarzhina Vaviernia (UNDP Permanent Representative in Kazakhstan), Sayasat Nurbek (Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan), Serik Omirbayev (Rector of AstanaITUniversity), Tiffany Sprague (Coordinator of STEM4All, Istanbul Regional Hub of UNDP), Aliya Sembayeva (First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Science Foundation”), Galiya Idoyatova (media expert), Aziza Shuzheeva (TechnoWomenCentralAsia) and many others.
