Representatives of the IOFS met with scientists-breeders of the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev

  On July 5, 2023, representatives of the Islamic Organization for Food Security visited the Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev. As part of a representative delegation of the IOFS, participants of the 2^nd International Forum on Agro-Biotechnology, held on July 4-5 in Astana, arrived to familiarize themselves with the breeding achievements of a large Kazakh Center for grain farming, informal communication with breeders in laboratory and field conditions. During the business visit, the foreign researchers and experts who arrived noted with satisfaction that the new promising varieties presented by the scientists-breeders of the SPC GF at the exhibition, which are in high demand on the domestic seed market, and also the visual picture of field scientific experiments of grain crops clearly indicate a sufficiently high potential of Kazakh agricultural science and the need to expand the boundaries of collaboration of participants the OIC countries in the designated aspects for the coming period. Following the meeting, they expressed their intention to cooperate and conduct joint scientific research.

  After all, one of the important missions of the IOFS is to disseminate and provide experience and technical know-how to the OIC member States on various aspects of the effective development of agriculture, food security and biotechnology.
