Scientists-breeders of the Center took part in the anniversary events of the Omsk ARC

  Within the international cooperation, scientists-breeders of the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev Oshergina Irina and Ten Evgeny took part in an International scientific and practical forum on the topic: «Preservation of traditions on the way to the technologies of the future», held at the Omsk Agricultural Research Center on August 1-2, 2023.

  A large-scale event with the participation of leading scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, India, was timed to the 90^th anniversary of SibRIA. In addition, it has been five years since the formation of the Omsk ARC, which is the legal successor of the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture.

  The Forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Government of the Omsk Region. Welcoming speeches were made by Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Peter Chekmarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region Dmitry Ushakov, Minister of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region Andrey Posazhennikov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region Nikolay Drofa, Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Vladimir Pushkarev.

  Within the plenary session of the forum, priority areas for the development of breeding and seed production, effective ways to preserve fertility with an adaptive farming system, economic problems of agricultural development and ways to solve them were considered. Then the conference participants visited the laboratories and fields of the Omsk ARC.
