On October 11, a meeting of the Scientific Council of the SPC of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev was held, where the final reports of STP for 2021-2023 on activities in PTF were heard and discussed.
Presentation of the report “Breeding of competitive, productive, with high grain quality varieties of spring soft, durum wheat, barley and oats for the conditions of Northern Kazakhstan” was presented by E.K. Kairzhanov, head of the laboratory of spring soft wheat breeding.
N.I. Filippova, Head of the Department of Perennial Grass Breeding presented the report “Breeding of high-yielding, adapted to stress factors of the environment varieties, hybrids of grain and forage sorghum”.
Deputy Chairman of the Board on Science Dolinniy Y.Y. presented the report on “Replenishment, study, conservation and documentation of genetic resources of grain, leguminous, cereal and forage crops of Northern Kazakhstan for purposeful use in breeding programs”.
N.K. Mukhanov, Head of the Laboratory of agrotechnics of field crops and crop diversification, made a report on “Formation of high-yielding agrophytocenoses of forage crops on irrigated lands of Northern Kazakhstan”.
The report on the activity “Development of organic farming technologies based on the principles of resource saving, digitalization and application of biological products to restore the natural fertility of chernozem soils” was presented by Nazdrachev Y.P., Head of the Laboratory of Agrochemistry and Fertilizers.
Ten E.A., head of the laboratory of leguminous crops breeding made a report “Creation of high-yielding varieties and hybrids of leguminous crops based on the achievements of biotechnology, genetics, physiology, biochemistry of plants for their sustainable production in different soil and climatic zones of Kazakhstan”
Summarizing the results of STP implementation for the three-year period, the Deputy Chairman of the Board for Science Dolinniy Y.Y. noted that the obtained results of scientific research will make a great contribution to the development of agriculture.
