Science is responding to the challenges of our time

  An offsite meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic was held on the basis of the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev: «The role of agricultural science in the adaptation of agriculture to natural disasters».

  The meeting was attended by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kurishbayev A., Chairman of the Board of «NASEC» NJSC Kassenov B., International expert of FAO, World Bank Morgunov A., Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences Tokbergenov I., members of Parliament, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of «Atameken» NCE Yeseneev E.E., leading scientists of agricultural science.

  The speakers noted the increasing role of agricultural science, which should ensure the sustainable development of the industry. The state should actively support scientific research in priority areas of agricultural science development in the context of global natural challenges. The issues of changing the system of organization of agricultural scientific research, transforming the activities of the NASEC management company in accordance with the experience of technology leaders, improving the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of agriculture, creating the necessary conditions for attracting young scientific personnel to agricultural science were also considered.
