A training seminar on the topic «Promising varieties of cereals and legumes of perennial grasses, peculiarities of cultivation technology for feed and seeds» was held at the SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev within the framework of budget program 267 «Increasing the availability of knowledge and scientific research» subprogram 100 «Information support for agro-industrial complex entities free of charge». Expert, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, head of the Department of Perennial grassess breeding, Nadezhda Filippova conducted classroom classes for farmers from Akmola and Karaganda regions on the following issues: Features of the technology of cultivating perennial grasses for feed and seeds, Promising varieties of cereals and legumes of perennial grasses, annual fodder crops.The presentation on the topic «Indicators and methods for assessing the quality of forage crops» was made by Dashkevich Svetlana Mikhailovna, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Biochemistry.
At the field stations, the seminar participants were shown crops of promising varieties of cereals and legumes of perennial grasses, and discussed the technology of cultivating varietal grasses and grass mixtures. A lively discussion took place during the demonstration of sowing units and their adjustment modes for various forage crops. In general, the seminar was held in a businesslike atmosphere, the farmers asked a lot of questions, shared their practical experience, and expressed their wish for further cooperation
