The Scientific and Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev is opening a new chapter in its history

In 2026, the Center marks its 70th anniversary — a milestone we see not only as a jubilee, but as the beginning of a new cycle of growth, renewal, and expanded collaboration.
For seven decades, the Center has been one of Kazakhstani leading agricultural research institutions. It has developed grain varieties adapted to steppe conditions, pioneered modern farming technologies, advanced seed production, and built a strong research and production base that underpins the sustainability of the country’s grain sector.
Today, the Center continues to grow dynamically, building on a broad network of international contacts and partnerships with research and educational institutions, research centers, and agribusinesses. Joint projects, knowledge exchange, and the adoption of advanced approaches enable the Center to remain at the forefront of agricultural innovation.
Throughout the anniversary year, a wide range of events is planned, including:
