The ExSoil-2026 International Summer School was held at the SPC GF

    On 27–28 July, practical sessions were held at the Scientific and Production Centre of Grain Farming named after A. I. Baraev. Participants learnt about long-term research into the processes of water and wind erosion and visited permanent field experiments, where they compared natural steppe and agricultural land with various land-use systems, including no-till techniques and conventional tillage. Particular attention was paid to indicators of soil erosion resistance, modern methods for assessing them, and the Centre’s innovative scientific equipment.

    The participants showed great interest in the unique wind channel, which allows the modelling of wind erosion processes and the evaluation of the effectiveness of various soil conservation technologies under controlled conditions.
