Likhtenberg Adolf Ivanovich, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences. A. Likhtenberg was born on October 11, 1948 in Shortandy of Tselinograd region. In November 1964, Adolf Ivanovich entered a permanent job at the laboratory of agrochemistry of All-Union scientific research institute for grain farming (AUSRIGF) as a laboratory specialist. In 1985-1995 he worked as head of the department of agricultural chemistry and soil fertility. In the period from 1995 to 1997 was acting Deputy Director for research scientific work at AUSRIGF. The main area of scientific activity of Adolf Ivanovich was agrochemistry and soil reclamation. He has over 60 publications.
In 1978 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of agricultural sciences “Responsiveness of spring wheat varieties to fertilizers in the Tselinograd region” (Moscow).
In 1995 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences “Optimization of the mineral nutrition of grain crops in soil-protective agriculture in the black soil zone of Northern Kazakhstan” (Almaty).
A. Likhtenberg worked at the Barayev Institute for 32 years, including 21 years under the direction of A. I. Barayev. He has gone professional way from a laboratory assistant to a deputy director for scientific work. He was born and lived most of his life on virgin soil. He told his colleagues that these were his best years. “The institute was everything to me: a place of work, a native home and homeland, a school of life experience,” - A. Lichtenberg said.
