October 25 within the framework of the celebration of the Republic Day, a solemn event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Shortandy district was held in the regional House of Culture. During which a number of bright, meaningful events took place and, of course, there was a solemn ceremony honoring the workers of the district. Akim of Shortandinsky district Shabarov Sagandyk Serikbayevich presented badges and certificates of conferring the title «Honorary Citizen of Shortandy district» and jubilee medals for a worthy contribution to the formation and development of the district to a number of distinguished Shortandy residents for special merits, including veterans of agrarian science Okovitaya Raisa Maksimovna, Logunova Nina Alekseevna and also representatives of the Center of Grain Farming Savin Timur Vladirovich, Akshalov Kanat Ashkeevich, Kiyas Aldabergen Aldongarovich, Parsayev Evgeny Ivanovich and Kassenova Saule Hailullinovna.
On behalf of the staff of SPC GF named after A.I. Barayev, Chairman of the Board Savin Timur Vladimirovich warmly congratulated the residents of the district on their glorious anniversary. He noted that Shortandy district has a decent, eventful and good tradition-rich history. One of the most significant dates in it — is the establishment in 1956 of the Scientific Research Institute of Grain Farming on its territory, which then in 1962 acquired the high status of the All-Union VNIIZH, thereby increasing the recognition of Shortandy district on the world map. Today, the Baraev’s brand is the icon not only of Shortandy district, Akmola region, but also of our Republic.
Representatives of the world and domestic scientific community actively cooperate with the scientists of our Center, come to us to promote topical issues on the development of intensive agriculture and breeding achievements during the scientific exchange of experiences, thereby improving the solution of food security issues.
